Your account

Delete your A Task Doer account.

You can delete your account, and the personal information that goes with it, at any time. This page explains how, and what we keep.

In the app

The quickest way. It takes effect straight away.

  1. 1Open the A Task Doer app and sign in.
  2. 2Tap Profile, then Settings.
  3. 3Under “Close your account”, tap Delete account.
  4. 4Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm.

By email

If you can’t use the app, email us from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm it’s you, and we’ll do it within one month.

What we delete

You’re signed out on every device at once. Within 30 days, your account is anonymised, which removes:

  • Your profile, photo, services and rate, which are removed from search at once
  • Your name, email address and mobile number
  • Your identity documents and certificates
  • Your saved payment card, if you added one

What we keep, and for how long

  • Chat messages, for up to 12 months after they were sent, so the other person keeps their record of a job
  • Records of payments, complaints and disputes, for 6 years, because the law requires it
  • Star ratings you gave, without your name
